I forgot he has the friends-only journal and tried to give him an answer to one of his questions about the wonders of the LJ extension of html, which follows. I hope he knows this by now, but if not, will a kindly soul give him a hint please?

I do not know how to insert the name of a user with the little stamp icon on front of it.

In comes <lj user=some_name>, out goes

some_name. If it is a community, it will automatically show the community icon. If it is an rss feed... I do not think you subscribe to any, but if it is one, it will show the appropriate icon too. :-)
