You were quick. I was not sure about the latest LJ syntax (and, indeed, they now have a separate comm parameter of the lj tag).

I think the first thing to do there is to decide on the party.

You have to click on the words "join the community" in the description above the button. There is not special button for joining. (UI lacks consistency somewhat.)
