I know internal lines are not served as well as international flights (the latter, at least the ones serving passengers, are solid). But it does not feel better.

I saw some pilots' discussion at links from here, it looked like they couldn't understand that thing about the plane speeding up either. But he removed the link - maybe they felt that the discussion was not appropriate for a broad audience.
I am not sure how much we should trust an account of a a passenger - she is obviously in shock, and may be very confused about the events.

True, I have not taken internal Russian flights since, I think, 1989. But one does not need to literally eat shit in order to understand what shit is...
