Well, in order for the life to be boring, I would also need to have substantial predictive abilities. One who is omniscient is not yet a seer or prophet.

the guy you are thinking of here is called Rafi Eithan.  he's ex-Mossad.

Avi Dichter is not yet of conventional retirement age, and he is in Kadima.  he's an ex-chief of the Shin-Beth.
