Cambridge University Press printed a book, Alms for Jihad. One of the Saudis mentioned there did not like it and forced them to destroy the unsold copies. The book entry disappeared from Amazon (404 in Amazon, still available in google cache). Libraries were contacted. The book is available online: it is now #3 on Best Book Buys top sellers list.

Read about it in google. Here are, for example, a few words from Mark Steyn.

Update. If you decide to buy it, make sure you buy the book and not the review. The latter costs around $10; the former, from $22 up. Its ISBN is 9780521857307 (BestBookBuys found it by ISBN or by title; AddAll found it by title, but not ISBN).

Я думаю что скоро эта книга появится в P2P сетях, тем более что PDF версия уже существует. Интернет это вам не александрийская библиотека. :)

Yeah, forgot to add it at first.

I know about the price. Not surprised.

Comments below report a sight of a pdf version. Not surprised again.

Я тоже искал но не нашёл. Но появление файла в сети это лишь дело времени.

Невозможно. Копирайт по-прежнему у Издательства Кэмбриджского Университета.

I think Cambridge violated their contract by not publishing the book (contracts usually say that the publisher will publish and disseminate the work), so the copyright probably could be returned to the authors if they sued. After that, the book will probably resurface under a different cover.

Possible. And plausible. Work for lawyers, though.

I read in one of the blog sites that an easy way would be for a US senator to read excerpts from the book (could as part of hearing on the freedom of speech or anything else) and the rest will be added to the proceedings. Then anyone will be able to request the proceeding, and that's that. Well, I guess it's one way.
