Yiddish
A
fusion
language.
I saw people criticizing Harold Bloom for mistakes in the article. I cannot judge, but the gist of it seems right.
Update
. But the book is
expensive
. When will it be available online?

Yiddish is a Germanic language with a Hebrew-Aramaic stratum:

Certainly it is Germanic, however Slavic influence on its Eastern dialects is strong. In addition, it has absorbed a smattering of Romance. Of course, the vocabulary and the way of expression has been heavily informed by Hebrew.
