I used to know a real life witch a few years ago. I do not think "witch" is the right term, she was called something else: they had this kind of Viking style of paganism. Pretty nice, btw: they would gather once a year in their house (people would come from all over the shore) and, as part of the celebration of the annual cycle, clean portions of the nearby forest of all the crap that had accumulated there for years.
