Paraphrasing Voltaire, if rights did not exist, it would be necessary to invent them. But isn't that only important for people who require outside approval of not only their actions, but even their intentions? Bleh to them.

To put it another way, why should a small person (funny how "a little person" has a separate -- usurped -- meaning) care if s/he has a right to an opinion? If s/he is capable of forming one, it's all that matters.

I think when a small person has a big idea, he is likely not to seek approval.

But others may tell him he is too small to have an opinion of his own. So this is for the benefit of the others to remember that no one is too small for a big idea.

(I think the word "right" is not necessary here. Just a figure of speech.)
