I have not seen this post, before I posted something else referring to him.

He is observing an anniversary of a terrorist attack by giving shooting lessons?

You sure you linked to the right post?

Of course, what could be wrong with that?

Training for combat/self-defense is what a libertarian would do in the face of terrorism.

Let us leave for the for moment the utter sillyness of the idea of defending with a handgun from "the face of terrorism" (and yes, this is something I'd expect a libertatian to do).

What I was wondering about is why [livejournal.com profile] cema decided that a note of someone doing target practice on September 11 was worth linking. Most of [livejournal.com profile] cema's "serious" links tend to point to articles which (whether I agree with them or not) tend to contain actual expressions of thoughts or, at the very least, opinions. Maybe I missed something in the text?

strike that "about" from the second sentence.

I simply think this is interesting. People react in different ways.

So, for the sake of stupid me - you did link it because of the shooting thing?

[identity profile] cema.livejournal.com 2005-09-13 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, no; it did not strike me as anything unusual, frankly. The fact that a law professor is teaching a Marine how to shoot (handguns, but still) loooked funny to me.
