Penn and Teller

Just Penn this time. On economics and politics.

Darn liberals

Confusing everything, as usual. Or is it a warm fuzzy feeling of pre-electoral elation hits the reality at 100mph with no breaks?

The big question really is, IMHO anyway, whether anything can be done at all.
Then the question becomes is he doing the right thing- not whether we can trust him. That would be too boring- who gives a crap whether some actor or comedian trusts anyone on issues of economy, or monetary policy.

There is a very useful exercise in some card games- what is the best strategy with a loosing hand (bridge comes to mind, Boston whist as well in some situations). Beauty, of course, is that after certain moves game changes dramatically. I.e. if you loose a lot of chips in Texas hold them, no limit- your strategy would need to become different- you can't go in on every round, unless you're planning on winning the pot. the more you loose more sure you have to be on your bets.

My 2 pence

Penn is not a liberal, his words are full of the tongue in cheek (uh, not exactly the right image, but you know what I mean).
