I'm pretty sure he stole it and uploaded to rapidshare. He should have patched bash so that it leaves no a history file.

I do not think he stole anything. I think he was just careless and foolish.

Well, he has been indeed careless and foolish. If it is true that he copied these files on his last day at work, then I don't see why he would have done that "in order to be able to work with these files at home", as he said. The only reason to copy sensitive and confidential files on your last day at work is wanting to use these files after you quit the company...

Of course, this is not relevant if he did not in fact copy anything on his last day at Gold-man-Sucks.
