In-dash CD/mp3 player

I want to get a CD/mp3 player for my car. Nothing fancy, just something that would play CD, CD-R, mp3 disks. Can you recommend me something? Or at least which features to look for?

A related question is installation; I would rather have it installed by a professional. Any recommendations?

It is not exactly what you have in mind, but you can use it even in a rented car.

I have not considered rentals. Probably not a big issue for me at this time.

I would second Arbat's opinion. I am using the Nomad jukebox for half a year now, and happy about it. You're basically getting a CD changer rolled into the deal for roughly the same money. And it's portable. And, if you're listening to large mp3 audiobooks (say 300-500Mb), that take a week of listening, you can "take them with you" wherever you go.
