In-dash CD/mp3 player

I want to get a CD/mp3 player for my car. Nothing fancy, just something that would play CD, CD-R, mp3 disks. Can you recommend me something? Or at least which features to look for?

A related question is installation; I would rather have it installed by a professional. Any recommendations?

Yeah. Well, this is one of many. I still cannot decide if I want anything like this.

Oh, my first portable CD player (a Sony) has died recently. I bought it in 1992 and have been listening to it on and off. RIP.

I still have in my office the Panasonic CD player that I got as a b-day gift in our cash-strapped year of 1996. Granted it is not as old as yours, but it has one big advantage over it - it is still working (-:
