Arizona is a beautiful place. Never been there, always wanted. Maybe will pass through it (on the way from KY to CA) in early August.

A natural way to "navigate LJ" is to create an interesting list of friends and monitor it. This includes real people and their virtuals ("users") as well as groups of people ("communities"). This way, you can (1) keep in touch with those who live far away but you do not want to part with, and (2) keep track of what is going on in various places around the world (as well as inside various heads around the world).

There are plenty of interesting communities related to Israel and Jews (Judaism also, but as a secular Jew I am not really into it), and there are users whose journals are primarily devoted to single topics or groups of topics related to Jewish life. Look eg at shvil, david_2, imenno (khatul), nechaman, read their journals and comments, and go on from there.

Спасибо! Технический вопрос - как приставлять головку (рun is not intended) к User-у? Я, например, делая свой самый первый пост и помещая туда link петиции, хотела сослаться на Ваш журнал, но линк получился просто слово сема, без головки.

Пишем <lj user=denovo18>, получаем denovo18. Описание специфических команд для LJ лежит в FAQ'е; обратите внимание на "lj user=..." и lj-cut.

как у тебя получилось написать команду, чтобы она не вышла в комменте выполненной??

Подход такой: надо написать другую команду так, чтобы по её выполнении получился текст, похожий на искомую команду.

Конкретно, для отображения знака < "меньше" (или "левая угловая скобка") пишется &lt;, а для знака > "больше" (или "правая угловая скобка") пишется &gt;.

Контрольный вопрос: как пишется, чтобы получилось &gt;? :-)
