3 - наверное, полезно, если бываешь на разумном расстоянии от boaters, которые в принципе могут capsize. А если не бываешь, то много ли корысти в этом умении?
Я бы понял, если бы в 17 было paint a house - все какой-никакой weatherproofing, хотя на этот счет уже есть vinyl siding. А комнаты красить - настоящему мужчине завсегда везде ништяк должно быть все равно, какого цвета стены.

У меня выйдет где-то под 20, но только, если засчитать все крайне "ржавые" умения. Я латал и радиаторы, и патрубки, прокачивал тормоза (три недели это было моей основной работой), чистил и смазывал ТОЗы (и Калаша, разумеется), сооружал вполне приличный костер (и умел рубить для этого деревья, не только собирать), меня учили первой помощи, но ведь 20 лет прошло с тех пор.

Насчёт тормозов нв знаю, а на моей предыдущей машине мне в течение года каждое утро надо было прокачивать ("блидать", как сказал механик) сцепление. Slave cylinder was leaking.

Я бы заменил отмеченные мной как ненужные, кроме уже перечисленных, на:

1. Electrical (as opposed to, e.g., copper pipe) soldering
2. Power tools skills and safety (drill and grinder mandatory, the rest optional)

Во-о-от!! С проводками возиться я в детсве обожала! И схемки паять. :) Ну это, конечно, так, для общего развития, сейчас схемы просто выбрасывают (or recycle) и покупают новые.
А владение power tools - это в хозяйстве святое дело, конечно.

Так к какой ;e категории меня отнести теперь?.. Что-то меня сомнения берут.

А не подскажут ли уважаемые настоящие мэны, чем удалить с рук клей вроде "Gorilla glue", а точнее "Monster grip". Мне вот вчера в конюшне пришлось повозиться одну штучку клеить, в перчатках не очень получалось, пришлось доделывать голыми руками. А клей он такой, крутой, не зря всё же покупала...
