Update. MT: I tried to get to the other side of the front line, so to speak, and was thrown back by the Russian military. посмотрите лучше http://www.stratfor.com/theme/crisis_south_ossetia
там много анализа и не такого мелкого, как у michaeltotten.

У michaeltotten'а нет анализа (в этой статье). Он передаёт слова некоторого человека, и передаёт их скрупулёзно. Надо различать репортаж и аналитику.

если не так, зачем приводить слова "некоторого человека", не трепа ли ради?
"репортаж" в даном контексте эквивалентен "пьььжь", и смысла не имеет. не так?
